Operating Instructions
1. Test wiring
Connect the red and black test clips of the test lead to the two ends of the device under test; connect the other end of the test lead to the red and black terminals of the DC resistance tester, respectively, according to color.
2. Smart Power Management
When not in use for an extended period, the DC resistance tester automatically dims the LCD backlight and alerts the user to save power. The device features a low-battery charging reminder and over-discharge protection. When the battery is low, users can plug in the charger to recharge while continuing to operate the instrument normally during charging.
3. Printer User Guide
The printer button and indicator light are integrated. When the printer is powered on, the indicator light remains steadily lit under normal conditions and flashes when paper is missing. Pressing the button once causes the printer to feed paper.
Printer paper replacement: Pull out the rotating wrench and open the paper tray cover. Insert the printing paper, pulling it slightly forward (a little beyond the tear teeth), making sure the paper is aligned properly with the coated side (smooth side) facing up. Close the paper tray cover, then gently press the print head feed roller against the paper until it aligns, then firmly push the feed roller back into place on the print head. Finally, reinsert the rotating wrench to lock it in position.
4. Operation Instructions
After all test leads are properly connected, turn on the power switch. The DC resistance tester will initialize and enter the “Main Menu” screen. In the main menu operation area, use the up and down keys to select the desired function, then press the “Confirm” key to enter the corresponding function menu.
Select DC resistance testing: The DC resistance test function can measure inductive test items such as transformers, current transformers, and reactors, as well as resistive test items like busbars, conductors, and switch contacts.
First-level operation menu: use the “up” and “down” keys to select these functions; once a function is selected, press the “left” and “right” keys to choose the corresponding parameters.
Test Temperature: Set the current temperature of the test specimen, with values ranging from -99°C to +99°C. This device can monitor the specimen in real time via an external wireless temperature probe.
Reference Temperature: The temperature value to which the measured resistance value is converted. The reference temperature ranges from 0°C to +255°C, and this value affects the accuracy of the resistance conversion.
Winding material: Specify the winding material of the test specimen, which can be copper or aluminum. The winding material affects the conversion coefficient used for resistance calculation.
Test current: Select the test current range, available options are 1mA, 10mA, 0.1A, 1A, 5A, 10A, and auto.
Test Notes
1. When testing the no-load voltage regulating winding, it is not permitted to switch the no-load tap changer during the test or before the discharge is complete.
2. Do not disconnect the test leads or turn off the power switch during testing or discharging.
3. During transformer testing, the winding on the non-measured side of the transformer must be open-circuited.
