The grounding table is applicable to telecommunications, power, meteorology, computer rooms, power distribution lines, tower transmission lines, gas stations, factory grounding grids, lightning rods, etc.
This instrument not only has the traditional function of measuring ground resistance by using auxiliary ground electrodes, but also possesses a unique function of measuring ground resistance without auxiliary ground electrodes. This changes the traditional measurement principle and methods for testing ground resistance: it adopts a dual-clamp non-contact measurement technology, which eliminates the need for setting up auxiliary ground electrodes and also eliminates the need to isolate the grounding body from the load. It enables online measurement.
Precautions for using the grounding table:
1. When storing and keeping this form, pay attention to the environmental temperature and humidity. It is advisable to place it in a dry and ventilated area to avoid moisture. Also, be sure to prevent exposure to acids, alkalis and corrosive gases.
2. When measuring the protective grounding resistance, make sure to disconnect the connection point between the electrical equipment and the power source. When measuring a grounding resistance of less than 1Ω, use dedicated wires to connect to the grounding body separately. Connect C2 on the outside and P2 on the inside as shown in Figure 4:
3. When measuring the grounding resistance of a large grounding grid, one should not follow the conventional wiring method. Instead, the location for the grounding electrode can be determined according to the specified procedures in the current and voltage measurement methods.
4. When measuring the ground resistance, it is advisable to repeat the measurement in different directions for 3 to 4 times and take the average value.
5. This instrument is capable of handling both AC and DC power. When no AC power is connected, the instrument is powered by batteries. When AC power is connected, it will first use AC power.
6. If the left upper corner of the display shows “←”, it indicates that the battery voltage is insufficient and a new battery should be replaced. When the instrument is not in use for a long time, all the batteries should be removed to prevent the instrument from rusting.
