Precautions for Vacuum Degree Tester of Vacuum Switches

When using power test equipment, there are some matters that need attention. Let’s take a look at the precautions for the vacuum degree tester of vacuum switches:
The vacuum degree test should be carried out on a clear and dry day, and the surface of the vacuum tube should be wiped clean. The leakage caused by the dirt on the surface of the vacuum tube will seriously affect the actual test result of the vacuum degree. For the vacuum degree test of the same vacuum switch, the time interval between each test should be no less than 10 minutes. Otherwise, the ionized air inside the tube will not have enough time to return to the normal state, which will lead to distorted test results.
For the vacuum degree test of the same vacuum switch, it is recommended not to exceed three times a day.
When testing the vacuum degree, leakage detection should be conducted first. Only after the leakage detection is qualified can the quantitative test be carried out.
4. The red cable connected to the red clamp is the high-voltage cable, and the black cable connected to the black clamp is the common cable. During the actual wiring process, the black common cable must not be connected to the high-voltage output to avoid severe leakage, which may lead to test failure or endanger personal safety and equipment.
When installing the excitation coil, its positioning indicator line should point to the joint gap of the arc extinguishing chamber.
During the testing process, the human body must not come into contact with the high-voltage and magnetic field voltage output terminals. The casing of the tester should be grounded.
7. The high-voltage output line and the ion current line should be separated to prevent interference.
8. Do not short-circuit the magnetic field voltage lines; otherwise, it will cause severe damage to the instrument and pose a threat to personal safety! Before the experiment, connect the yellow and green wires to the electromagnet first and then to the instrument. After the experiment, remove the yellow and green test wires from the instrument one by one (do not touch the exposed parts of the plugs with your hands).
After the test is completed, the power supply should be turned off and the high-voltage output terminal should be short-circuited to ground for discharging to prevent electric shock from the residual voltage on the charged capacitor.
