The establishment of a fully automated temperature rise test device and its communication settings

(1) Creating a Device

Right-click in the “Device Management” area and select “Add Device” to bring up the New Device dialog box (Figure 2-3). The device name can be customized, and the device address is the lower-level machine address (which can be found in the lower-level machine system settings interface). Select the appropriate number of channels and the starting channel (default starting channel is 1). When the number of channels is greater than 64 or the channels need to be divided into different categories, each type of channel can be attached to a different device. For example, if the first 8 channels measure temperature and the last 8 channels measure humidity, and you want to display them in different windows, you can do the following: 1) Create a new device with 8 channels: Device Name -> Device Address 1 -> Number of Channels 8 -> Starting Channel 1; 2) Create another device with 8 channels: Device Name -> Device Address 1 -> Number of Channels 8 -> Starting Channel 9. The above describes the operations for different channels of the same instrument.

This system also provides a one-to-many communication method, meaning that this system can monitor multiple instruments simultaneously. If you have multiple instruments that need to be monitored simultaneously, you can perform the following operations: 1) In the system settings interface of the instrument, set the device addresses to different values such as 1, 2, 3, etc.; 2) Create devices with corresponding channels in the system, where the device addresses are set to be consistent with the device addresses set in the instrument. For example, if you have two instruments, the first instrument has a 16-channel device with address 1, and the second instrument has a 32-channel device with address 2; first create one device in the system: Device Name -> Device Address 1 -> Number of Channels 16 -> Starting Channel 1; then create the other device: Device Name -> Device Address 2 -> Number of Channels 32 -> Starting Channel 1.
Place the mouse over the device name (here, over Device Management 1 (Device Name)), right-click, and select Device Properties. The Device Properties dialog box will pop up as shown in Figure 2-4. Here, you can set the communication method with the lower-level machine as either network communication or serial communication, which can be set according to your needs.
The above describes the device creation and communication settings for the fully automatic temperature rise test device.
