The usage method of the high-current current booster:
When conducting the high current test, correctly connect the working circuit according to the circuit diagram of this product. According to the size of the output current, select the appropriate position of the large and small current range switches. Connect the power supply, and the power signal light will illuminate. First, return the voltage regulator to the zero position, then press the start button (green) to start the operation. The working signal light will illuminate at this time. At this point, slowly rotate the handwheel of the voltage regulator in the clockwise direction with the hand-held voltage regulator handle, and keep an eye on the ammeter until the desired current value is reached. Once the test reaches the set value, immediately turn the handwheel of the voltage regulator in the counterclockwise direction back to zero, press the stop button, and cut off the power supply.
Precautions for the use and maintenance of the high-current current booster:
1. During the unpacking inspection, it is necessary to check whether the main circuit terminals are loose and whether the commutator of the voltage regulator is in good contact.
2. When not in use for a long time, before use, check the insulation resistance of the main circuit to ground with a 500V megohmmeter. The resistance should be no less than 0.5 megohms.
3. The input voltage should match the values specified on the nameplate (-220V, -380V), with a tolerance of ±10% and a frequency of 50Hz.
4. The current setting switch must not be operated under load.
5. During operation, rotate the handwheel evenly and slowly to avoid damaging the pressure regulator.
6. The working time at full load should not exceed 5 minutes. The continuous working time should be less than 2.5 minutes, but the working cycle should be greater than 10 minutes.
7. The housing of the lift transformer has a grounding terminal. During use, it should be properly grounded.
The current booster is an essential equipment required in electrical commissioning for various industries where large currents are needed. It is applied in power plants, substations, electrical manufacturing plants, as well as research and testing laboratories, etc. It operates under short-term or intermittent working conditions. It features a small size, light weight, excellent performance, and convenient use and maintenance.
