Discharge method after DC withstand voltage test, and how to choose discharge resistor and discharge rod:
(1) First cut off the high voltage power supply.

(3) Finally, the discharge is directly grounded.
(4) For large-capacity samples, such as long cables, capacitors, large motors, etc., it needs to be discharged for more than 5 minutes to discharge the charged charge.
(5) When there is a possibility of inducing electrostatic voltage to nearby electrical equipment, it should also be discharged or short-circuited in advance.
(6) For the voltage doubler rectifier device assembled on site, it is necessary to discharge the capacitors at all levels step by step before changing the wiring or removing the wiring.
The discharge resistance depends on the test voltage and the capacitance of the test product, and must have sufficient resistance value and heat capacity. Water resistance is usually used, and the resistance value is about 200-500Ω∕kV. The effective length between the two poles of the discharge resistor can be selected with reference to the length of the high-voltage protection resistor. The length of the insulating part of the discharge rod shall comply with the “safety regulations” and shall not be less than the effective length of the discharge resistor.
