Precautions for use

1. There should be no less than two people in the testing work, one person operates and the other supervises the operation to ensure safety.

2. The casing must be grounded, and do not neglect the prevention of personal safety accidents because of low voltage. The instrument must be well grounded, and the step-up transformer and operating table must be reliably grounded in use to ensure safety.

3. The lead wire from the secondary of the current booster to the tested product should not be too long, and the cross-sectional area should be sufficient (the current density can be considered as 6-8A). The contact surface should be cleaned (can be brightened with fine gauze), otherwise the joint will heat up, and the current will even rise. Less than rated value.

4. Before working, check that the power supply has sufficient capacity, otherwise the power cord will heat up and the voltage will drop, which will affect the normal work.

5. There should be no flammables on the job site. Sufficient fire extinguishing equipment should be prepared for the temperature rise test.

6. For the continuity (heating) test, someone should be on duty at the site. And regularly check the heating conditions of the ascending current source equipment, wires, and connectors, and make records. Due to the fluctuation of grid voltage, pay attention to adjust TD in order to maintain the rated test current. During the test, once abnormal phenomena are found, the power supply of the air switch should be cut off immediately, and the test should be carried out after finding out the cause. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the air switch to cut off the power supply, cut off the working power supply, and remove the test wiring in the direction to ensure safety.

7. The test work of the large current generator should abide by the relevant provisions of the safety work regulations of the electrical industry and formulate practical safety measures. The instrument is designed for short-term work, so it is not allowed to work under the rated capacity for a long time, especially not allowed to exceed the rated current to prevent overheating.
